Cool? are you suddenly a yank I'm sick of British people trying to imitate yanks.

As far as I'm concerned the best music is Alternative -Black Metal, and the last 3 years have been very productive and enjoyable..

OK, everybody prepare to laugh, but I'd say the Sixties is my fave decade for music. Yeah, I'm old, so don't even tell me. I know I pretty much grew up in the Seventies, but outside of progressive rock and other underground music, most of the mainstream top 40 music wasn't all that great, and I never cared much for disco or heavy metal. I will say this, though. Abba was mentioned up the thread, and most of their songs came out in the Seventies, and they were one of the better pop acts. But I still like my Sixties, especially the later part of the decade.

Hmmm. For me, I'd have to say the 80's and into the early 90's. I can't say anything specifically about the music sound and all that, but I just like it. I also like the 70's. I just know that most of the music from those times sound like they make more sense. I mean, you have some songs that make sense or make you think, but I don't think there are as many now. Plus the music itself is cool. *smiles*

If folks laugh at you for liking the sixties, they'll get an even bigger kick out of mocking me for my favorite musical decade, the 1950's and earlier. But you just can't beat those old-style crooners, Sinatra, Crosby, Johnny Mathus, etc. and the new rock and rollers like Bobby Vinton, Neil Sedaka, Johnny Burnette, and the Platters.

I like everything from the sixties onwards, like what you like; who cares what people think?

Best musical decade? I'm unsure on that one.
